Pro-Kool 78 contains 96.6% virgin,"industrial grade" propylene glycol and a package of "water treatment grade" corrosion inhibitors and buffering agents. Pro-Kool 78 is formulated to meet the needs of large hot and chilled hydronic water recirculating systems, engine jacket cooling systems, plastic molding and machine cooling systems, and a variety of commercial and industrial cooling and heating systems. Pro-Kool 78 contains sodium molybdate for corrosion inhibition of steel and tolytriazole for the corrosion inhibition of copper and its alloys. Pro-Kool 78 also contains sodium tetraborate for the control and stabilization of pH. The stabilization of pH is termed buffering. Pro-Kool 78 is designed to buffer system water pH between 9.0 to 10.5. Pro-Kool 78 is designed to establish minimum desired corrosion inhibition and pH buffering levels when the system water contains at least 20.0 % by weight propylene glycol.
